'Eller Beck - River of the Alder Tree'

Inspired by Celtic Myth and Symbology, this intuitive artwork is of the ancient waterway Eller Beck as she flows under Eller Bridge in Skipton, North Yorkshire. The bridge is also ancient, it's stones swathed in lichens and moss. There is history here, stories to be told. Artist's Insight: Eller, in Old Norse, stands for Alder, or Alder Tree, many of which line her banks; many tributaries flow into her from way up in the Dales, bringing life and a flow of energy.
